    Brown Sugar Banana Muffins

The other day, I realized that I had to overripe bananas, and I still had two bananas in the freezer from last summer. So, I knew the easiest thing to do so that the food wouldn’t go to waste, is to make banana muffins. I waited for the weekend, and then Google searched a recipe. I came across this one: https://thenovicechefblog.com/2016/01/banana-brown-sugar-muffins/ It was all for the better that they used brown sugar, because it turned out that I did not have any white sugar left. I use paper cup liners, because I quickly realized that this would make way more muffins than the 12 that I can do. (I only…

How to make a Doll Bookshelf

I had forgotten that sometimes magick seems very distant. The times when life gets…well…life-y. The times when it seems hardest to find a bit of magick in everyday life. For me, the problem at the moment is that my grandmother is dying of cancer all the way over in America, and I can`t go see her. When I left America last August, I left with the throat lodging premonition that there would be people I would never see again. My nana died a few months ago. And now my grandmother is close to… Well. Sorry for getting so off track. Anyway, I`ve been trying to find the magick again. I…

How to Corner to Corner Crochet

All right! Sorry for the long break, (I went to Tokyo for Golden Week) and then to start out with a post that`s more of an update than a new craft. Although it is an explanation. Oh, and also, I think I`m going to move craft posts to Thursdays. The way my schedule is right now, Wednesday I usually have time to write the posts, but not take pictures till late, so if I write the posts and take the pictures Wednesday, I can have them posted Thursday morning! ^_^ So, the reason that this post is an update is that I`m still working on my Doctor Who blanket. The…

How to Make an Origami Crane

One craft that I can do off the top of my head is make an origami crane. I tend to find that if I`m slightly bored, I suddenly have tons of mini cranes in front of me because I made them without thinking about it too much.   I`ve always liked cranes and found them easy to fold, so I thought that I would show a simple how-to. Now, ordinarily, you use origami paper of varying sizes:   Origami paper usually has one side that has color, and one white side, but you can certainly make a crane with paper that is all one color! First, if you don`t have origami…

How to make a mini blanket

Last weekend I went to a tiny craft fair nearby, and found some fabric that I liked. The fabric was 27cm x 27cm, and one of my dolls (Rhi) is 26cm tall. So I thought that was the perfect size to make a little blanket out of. Plus there were cute characters! I couldn`t decide between these two patterns, at first, and originally decided to have one be the front and one be the back. Then I rethought that, since that would make the blanket pattern very busy. And really, did I need that many characters on just one blanket? So instead I ran to the Hundred Yen Store and got…
